We have many seaweed-related books in our library, and from time to time we’ll post about some of our favorites. Here are a couple of cookbooks we love:
Prannie Rhatigan’s Irish Seaweed Kitchen, for gorgeous illustrations, sumptuous recipes and plenty of sea veggie information and stories. Published in 2009 by Booklink, Ireland. For more on this book and Prannie’s work, see www.prannie.com.
The Angelica Home Kitchen, by Leslie McEachern. Angelica Kitchen is an organic vegan restaurant in New York City that serves food that’s beautiful and nourishing. See their website, www.angelicakitchen.com
And of course, Sea Vegetable Celebration, the cookbook MCSV founder Shep Erhart wrote with Leslie Cerier, “The Organic Gourmet.” This book is full of simple recipes, nutritional and botanical information about sea veggies, focusing on those harvested from the North Atlantic that we sell.
Check out Leslie’s site for recipes, tips and videos on creating dishes that nourish the body, spirit and planet: http://www.lesliecerier.com/index.php
